The Scientific and Cultural Facilities District of Jefferson County.

The SCFD is a seven-county tax district created within Colorado law, approved by Colorado’s General Assembly, and renewed by voters multiple times over more than 30 years. Their yearly grant to The Lutheran Chorale makes it possible to enhance our programs with new music, instrumental accompaniments, and to host free concerts for ministry to seniors, children, and others who would not otherwise enjoy our music.

And also -- Thank you to everyone who continues to vote yes on the recurring Ballot Issue. The current SCFD tax period will expire on June 30, 2030.
Once again the community has shown that they see a real value in the arts and other cultural venues, and voted yes to continue the $.01 per $10 sales tax to fund the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) which generously supports The Lutheran Chorale!

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is supported by membership dues, donations and a grant from the Colorado Scientific and Cultural Facilities District. However, there are more expenses and costs to keep the Chorale going that are not covered by the SCFD grant and membership dues.
